Finally joined the club!!!
So I have had a 1998 4runner for quit some time. I got word the other day that the frame is rotting and it will not pass our state inspection. I was told it would cost around $2000 to fix plus it could possible need other repairs such as ball joints etc. I decided as much as I love "rusty but trusty" I was not going to sink that kind of money into it. I decided I wanted to stick with a member of the Toyota family but up my game. I started looking for reasonably priced LS430's. Late last night I cam across a one owner 2003 that was located a few hours away. It was a little more than I was looking to spend but I thought I would contact the guy and see what we could work out. I received an email this morning asking if I could call him with any questions. I called and I was told that the price was negotiable. I decided to take a run over and check it out. Needless to say we struck a deal. He had just bought a 2016 LS460L and he needed to get rid of this ls430 to make room. He also had a really nice Porsche 911 in the driveway. He pulled out a car fax and stacks of dealer service records. The car has been dealer serviced it's entire life. Every service was performed plus it was detailed monthly, he even had them do all the little things like replace the wiper blades. I ended up getting the car for $5500, which I thought was more than fair. 171,000 miles but it looks and drives like new.

Wow! That thing looks brand new, inside and outside. These cars are amazing, especially when you find one that has been pampered and well taken care of. I'm sure you will enjoy it for years. Congrats on the find.

Looks amazing. Moreover, I struggle to see how it is possible to find a nicer, better maintained car for $5500. As long as there is no major rust, I would be beyond stoked.
While mine has around 100,000 less miles, I spent almost 3 times more for my 2005 Ultra Luxury and they certainly do not look that different.
Best,
J

Great find and welcome to the club! You'll get tired of owning that car before it wears out...

killer deal and I'm sure you'll love the car. I almost wish I didn't spend so much on mine, but I don't know if I'll ever part with the car so I didn't mind buying a low mileage car.
