Default Smell gas at start-up after sea foam

Hi all,
My ls430 is only 76k miles and have been dealer serviced since new by the first owner who was a Lexus VIP customer.

Anyway, I put a bottle of sea foam a couple weeks ago and after one tank of gas, I started smell gas at start-up, though it went away after warmed up.

Is that normal this car doesn't like sea foam?

Check all of your rubber emissions hoses for holes or cracks. The fuel related ones are on the drivers side middle of the engine.

Where is the smell coming from in relation to the car?

I just had a recent incident on the "other" Lexus where there was a strong, raw gas smell filling up the garage, and it I could trace the smell back to the gas cap area.

It ended up the gas cap threads on the plastic cap had sort of stripped over time and it wasn't clamping down properly. Even when screwed down, you could just pop it off. A new gas cap fixed it.

If you smell raw gas coming from the engine compartment area (or really anywhere) that could be a dangerous situation and you'll want to proceed with caution.
