Money well spent. It brought my engine back to life. Much more pep, seems to run smoother too - and its getting noticably better gas mileage.

My daughter ( who just was accepted to medical school - very proud of that ) is learning to drive and after a 1 1/2 hour drive in the LS she commented that she hardly has to touch the gas and the car seemed to drive itself ! The only other car she's driven was a new Infinity G37 so for her to notice a difference is pretty amazing.

Just wanted to update this .... I suspected the car was getting better gas mileage after the BG44 - based on city driving.

Well, I just made a 4 hour drive and the car averaged an incredible 31 mpg @ 70 mph with the air conditioning on !!!!! I was never was able to get over 26 mpg before for the past 6 years I have driven this car ....

That proof enough for me !

I just put a can in my gas tank two days ago. Not sure what it will do because I am pretty sure my fuel system is clean but what the heck. LOL. I have used it before and it does help...

Every full tank I run a bottle of Lucas Fuel Injection Treatment or a few cap fulls of K100.

Car runs excellent, throttle response is great. I only run premium 92-93 octane as well.

I figure its cheap insurance for a car with 90k miles I plan to keep until 150-200k miles.

Is the BG 44K still better than Chevron fuel system cleaner? I just reached 80k miles in my 2011.

I thought bg requires you to change your oil and filter after? Or maybe I'm mistaken and it's the hard core one. I was planning to use the Lucas injector cleaner but from what I've seen on YouTube it didn't really clean that well? With no real difference to mpg.

there are multiple sets of BG products, 44K is a fuel system cleaner, MOA is engine oil additive, EPR is an "engine cleaner" that's added right before an oil change

Maybe so, but Toyota/Lexus dealers also have access to the 3-step Toyota/Lexus Induction Kit (00289-INDKT / 00289-INDKT-LX), and these 2 kits are identical to the Subaru Engine Maintenance Kit SOA868V9341 (older kit SOA868V9340). Penray also sells a similar 3-step kit, PR-8101.

Step 1: EFI Fuel Pour-In-Tank Additive (Toyota 00289-EFI34, Lexus 00289-EFI34LX, Subaru SOA868V9150, and I use Royal Purple Max Clean when I can't source those 3. Numerous brands make pour-in-tank additives with varying concentrations of polyetheramines, or PEA, the primary FI cleaning agent)
Step 2: Throttle Plate Spray Cleaner (Toyota 00289-1TP00, Subaru SOA868V9170, the Toyota cleaner is much stronger than the various brands of carb/throttle body cleaners at my local hardware store)
Step 3: Upper Engine Intake Cleaner (Toyota 00289-1TE00, Lexus 00289-1TE00-LX, Subaru SOA868V9160). Penray makes a similar, possible exact bottle, I believe it is PR-2312. This upper engine cleaner requires a short piece of fuel safe hose plugged into a vacuum port, as well as the atomizer tool (Toyota 00289-TECTL, Subaru Top Engine Tool SOA868V9430).

If your injectors need a serious cleaning, the Toyota techs use a product too powerful to be in the fuel tank and fuel lines, so they bypass the fuel tank, disconnect the engine-side fuel line, attach the PFIC (Pressurized Fuel Injector Cleaner) apparatus (00289-1PF00-01) to the fuel line (14mm flare nut crowfoot wrench needed to disconnect e.g. Sunex 971014) and appropriate adapters (00289-1PF00-02, 00289-1PF00-03). Then for 8cyl engines, screw in the 14oz Toyota EFI Cleaner pressurized can 00289-1PF14; for 4cyl/6cyl, use the 7oz can 00289-1PF07. These pressurized cans will power the engine for 10-15 minutes on idle, you're supposed to run them until the can runs empty and the engine stops, then your fuel injectors should be thoroughly clean.

Yes, I was able to get my hands on all of these things and use them every 2-3 years.

Not that intense but put in some Lucas in last week, didn't notice much as the ls engine is relatively smooth already. It seems to smooth out and quiet down the engine on a 4 cylinder rav 4 though. Less rattly sounding.
