Default Bg44k

Just ran a can of this thru my 117,000 mile LS. I was a bit worried that is might cause issues but I wanted to try so ....into the tank it went. Normally I drive super easy but for the entire tank I drove in second and third gear in the city, with lots of hard accelerations, keeping the revs up to between 3 - 4000. I gotta say the car really ran great. Second gear is quite a lot of fun !

Filled up with a tankful of premium and am looking forward to a two hour cruise up to the lake tomorrow morning. I wonder if I notice anything besides my wallet being $ 35 lighter

I have used BG44K for years in a lot of cars. I have no doubt it is the best fuel system cleaner that you can buy and add to the tank. BUT, I thought I read somewhere on this Lexus forum that it was not recommended to use in our LS's because it may damage something in our fuel system. Maybe the gasket material in our fuel system? I hope it is not true because BG44K is a great product that does work as stated. It does however work/clean better the longer it is in the tank. The longer it soaks in the system it does loosen deposits and cleans well.

I've run this stuff in everything I've owned...including a pair of Porsche 911s. IMO, this is the best fuel treatment available.

Well, the car drove great. Seemed a little more eager to downshift when passing other cars. The idle was always smooth ... now it's even smoother and I think it idles and a lower rpm. Car recorded 26 mpg for the round trip, most of it between 70 and 80 mph.

I always use 91 octane Shell premium gas, but most of my driving is in the city. Not sure the fuel system was gunked up but I am pretty sure its cleaner now. I am happy I did this.

Lexus dealers use BG products for gas and oil treatments, so there's no harm in using them.

I've never seen it at regular auto parts store. Car dealers only. At least in my area.

Find a seller: https://www.bgprod.com/contact-us/distributor-locator/

That's great to know. I have some BG44K and will use it in the LS430. In my other vehicles, I use it every other oil change. I have also used Redlines fuel cleaner and it seems to work well and is less expensive then BG44K.

Read the label carefully. It's pretty nasty stuff ! There are plenty of warnings, including that it may cause cancer.

After again reading this thread, I decided to buy a 3 pack of BG44K with the included BG funnel from Amazon. I think it ended up being around $52 total... Now I should be stocked up for at least another year.
