Day Light is dull yellowish- any tips to replace with HID
Hi Folks, 03LS430 has a dull yellowish Day Light, which I would like to replace with a HID or switch it off. Local garage guys told, its not possible to switch it off as it is connected with HandBrake. Is that true?? How can I change it or switch it off. Comments please...

Lexus calls that the Daytime Running Lamp (DRL). You can turn off this function via Techstream. Attached is a listing of other personalize settings you can change. The DRL options are on Section 8 - Lighting Control.

Techstream is a worthwhile investment for a LS430 owner. The kit (connector cable and software) can be purchased on Amazon.com for less than $30. You will need a laptop with a USB port, preferrably running WindowsXP.
Your Lexus dealer may possibly do the changes for you for free.

Do a search on Amazon.com for "Techstream", and read the reviews from previous buyers. The software and drivers that come with these kits are normally all you will need for a 32-bit WindowsXP laptop. The software and drivers are updated fairly regularly, and are available for free download.
There are many experienced Techstream users on this forum. They will chime in to share their experiences with you shortly.

I'd love to find a Techstream knock-off that works with Win7 (and Win10 soon) that also works with 64 bit systems. I don't keep WinXP in 32 bit around anymore (does anyone?).
