Default Does koyo manufacture the front wheel bearing hub for lexus?

Just as Denso is the actual manufacturer for so many parts for our LS430 such as radiators, and O2 sensors etc.....I wanted to confirm if anyone knows with certainty if Koyo is the manufacturer for the front wheel bearing hub that is found on the 01-06 LS430 and packaged under the Toyota brand for Lexus? The part number is 4355050011. After speaking to a part rep at an independent parts store, he assured me that Koyo is our car's manufacturer for this part. Anyone confirm this as well? The Koyo price is $272. Thanks all.

Yes, Koyo is OEM.

Thanks everyone. Now I'm comfortable replacing my bearing without going to the dealer and paying $200 more for the hub! Lexus wants around $875 before tax for parts and labor. I'll wait until the noise gets worse and take it to my independent shop to replace. They previously quoted me $185 for labor.

Yes, I can confirm and did the same thing. Koyo part number (Amazon for about $225) and markings matched the right rear bearing that came off the car. Toyota dealer parts manager and mechanic approved since they are picky about using non-OEM parts. Also, doesn't mean anything but box was marked OE and had sticker with Lexus part number.

Parts and labor were under $500. The smoothness and quiet are back.

Yes supposedly Koyo is the manufacturer for Lexus wheel bearings. I had my doubts myself when the guy at the parts store told me they were, especially when the back of the box read Toyoda, rather than Toyota, but a friend of mine is a big wig at a parts company and told me he could look it up through worldpac - a local OE parts store - and sure enough the Koyo had an OE code next to it.

The founder of what has become the Toyota Motor Company was named Toyoda. Automobile production began as a division of the Toyoda Automatic Loom Works. Interesting story, check out wikipedia or the Toyota corporate web site.

Great info. Thanks everyone. I guess I can now go forward and purchase a Koyo front Hub with total confidence it will be compatible. Bottom line is when we save hundreds of dollars on a part, it's another small victory as parts and labor for our cars are so expensive. And the LS430 continues to age!

I see Koyo for 143 bucks should be good at that.
