Hi, I searched on previous threads but didn't find any chat about this. On my LS430, each door has a black button. I assume that these buttons are meant to lock the door upon exit. If I have a smart key (I believe I have the original key fobs), when I approach the car and put my hand behind the door, the driver-side door will unlock. None of these are happening. I click on the button and nothing happens. I can always use my remote to unlock and lock all doors. Any idea?

I got it figured out. It turns out that there is a "smart key" button located on the bottom of the driver panel right next to the flat tire reset button. It was pushed in (disabled). I pushed it again and it is no longer pushed in which means smart key feature is enabled. The next I see is the "key not present" error. I replaced the key fob battery and it's now working as intended.
