Most likely the Honda had smaller diameter rotors in the rear than in the front. I had an Acura RSX whose rear brakes wore at about the same rate as the front precisely because Honda reasoned correctly that the rears don't need the same braking ability as the front and could downsize the rears safely. I don't believe Lexus made this tradeoff on our cars.
