Sorry that happened to your car. AT failure on LS430s is rare especially at lower than 150k miles. You were smart to get the warranty. Even though the LS in general is super reliable compared to most other cars of its type it does have very expensive components that can be costly to repair/replace especially AT, engine, ABS, etc.

Glad the warranty has you covered. Would have been interesting to see what codes it threw. That way we have some indicators for future issues when the dash lights up in a similar way.

It happens. When I think about it, I'm glad it happened now, instead of at 150k, when the warranty expires. I'm also thankful that I'll have the chance to maintain this new tranny with fluid changes. My local dealer has no problems doing drain and fills on a sealed tranny. They also charge less than $200. When this issue first started I had them service the tranny.

The only code was a P2757. Scroll up and check out the pdf that was posted. I ALWAYS get the extended warranty! It's just cheap insurance.
