Anybody has changed their LCD screen?
Mine is getting really dim. I can barely read it on bright days. I'm thinking of replacing it.
I found a brand new replacement LCD unit sold on EBAY made by Toshiba

I have no idea how complex and/or reliable this thing is but $250 seems more reasonable than the $5000+ for the whole freakin module with controls sold by Lexus.

I haven't had to change mine. But I can tell you that, you're gonna be taking apart a lot of pieces to get to it. Take your time and be organized so you can return everything back the same way it was.
But it's definitely do-able, plus, everything inside will be plug and play so no soldering involved.

Bump
My touch screen has been getting crazy. It jumps around by itself. Also, in the winter it is near useless until the car really warms up. Anybody gone to the trouble of replacing theirs with a new one. If so where did you get it.

Had problems w/ dim display and slow warm up. Had mine rebuilt by a local stereo repair shop. They removed the screen, torture tested it (including overnight in a refrigerator), resoldered the board and reinstalled. Works fine. Total cost 250. It must be relatively easy to remove/install the screen. Shop did it while I waited.
