Default Keep my IS300 or pick up an LS430?

Hey guys, I am currently driving an IS300 but considering selling it and picking up an LS430. I like the IS300 for its sportiness but it doesn't have very much power. I miss that Lexus V8 power I had with my GS400.

After checking out the prices, I can sell my IS300 for around the same amount I can pick up an 02-03 LS430. What do you think? No brainier right?

If you stretch just a little you may be able to source a GS350 (skip the 300 if you can).
Should be a better balance of the sportiness and just as much speed/power.
If you drop the LS on some Tanabes you can move it just a bit back toward a sportier than stock feel.

I'll say this though, if you go LS, it won't ever be easy going back to anything else.
The flagship is the flagship and you'll probably miss the features once you get used to the car looking after you a bit more.

This thread should probably help. If you like (prefer?) sportiness though, the LS may not satisfy coming from the IS.

I checked out the GS350, and they are nice but a bit pricey compared to the older LS430. I would like to be in the 7-8k price range. I think your right though, I would probably have to adjust the suspension a bit so the car felt a bit sportier. The IS300 just seems too small for me.

Thanks for the link. Looks like there are others out there with the same thought. I was just figuring that the LS would be way more comfortable for long trips. The IS gets a bit cramped.

If you are coming from the is300. I also recommend looking into the gs350. I loved my gs350...everything about it until I had a baby. We needed more leg room in the rear so I sold the GS for 10k (188k mikes) but it ran perfectly.
Now here I am with the LS lowered on tanabe and I love it. V8 power and smoothness and lots more leg room. But I can see myself getting a gs350/460 down the line. I love that 3GS body.

I think I am also a bit more partial to the v8 rumble and smoothness of the LS. Test drove one a few month ago and it is a hard vehicle to beat. The GS350 is nice as well, I might have to go test drive one.

Trade up to the LS430 it's the best way to go. Get one with a UL package you won't be disappointed!

If you like v8,at the same time like the handling of a sports car..... I S F. The car is a beast.

If you want more room, get the rare GS 460. I was thinking about getting one but couldn't find a good color combo for a good price in my area.

I just jumped into a LS430 and it is spacious and smooth. The features are
nice but that V8 is real nice. Prior car Civic Si, big difference.
