Default Clicking when turning

Hi everyone. I replaced my inner and outer tie rods a few months ago. Every since, when turning the wheel to the far left I am hearing a metallic clicking sound. It sounds like a popping clicking sound. Took the wheel off to examine and it looks like it's coming from the steering rack past the inner tie rod. Any ideas? Should I grease up the steering rack?

Check your axles.

Interesting. What are the signs of a bad axle? Seems odd at 117k.

If the noise is coming from the front it is definitely not an axle. The LS430 is not front wheel drive.

Definitely front driver side. It sounds as though it's coming from where the inner tie rod connects to the rack.

Ball joints usually click and pop. Mainly over bumps though

Found out that some bolts on my tie rods weren't tight enough (even though I used a torque wrench). My mechanic tightened everything and noise is gone. Best $45 bucks I've spent.
