So I set the car to stock ride height and...
Car is a 2004 UL. My ride height was looking a little wonky. So I set the car (perfectly I might add) to the factory ride height per the factory repair manual. Took a couple of hours of trial and error. Turns out, the rear rides lower. I always thought the rear riding lower was perhaps a function of shocks wearing out or the ride height sensor tabs being bent, etc. Nope...Lexus has it this way from the factory. If you measure from wheel lip-to-ground, the rear sits nearly 1" lower. It's quite noticeable cosmetically.
Any reason why Lexus does this??

I don't have a UL, but if I measure from wheel lip-to-ground, the rear sits about 1/2" lower. However, if I measure the ground clearances between the wheels, the vehicle sits level. I believe the front wheel well opening is larger to allow for steering - just guessing!

I noticed this on my LS as well.
I always assumed that it compensates for adding 150-300lbs of front seat weight of the driver and/or passenger.
I never did stop to check what the height looks like with a driver and in gear (which affects rear height a bit too.
