Default Missing trim part

In the picture of the console, there is a small square, for better word "plug"
just above the "p" for park. It looks like it might be a indicator light that the car is in park. This trim piece is missing in the car i'm about to buy.

Am i correct that it is a park indicator lamp?

It's a removable cover to manually release the shift lock. It is not a light. I would think you could order a new cover somewhere.

It is not a light emitting piece, as Anthony81 mentioned.

The small slot you see in the piece is how you would be able to pull it out using an interior trim plastic wedge. When removed, you will see a small tab that if you push, it will enable you to select any gear, even if the car was shut off and your foot was not on the brake.
