Default 2005 LS430 Price help.

Hi Guys.

I need a help with my price negotiation. I found 2005 LS 430 perfect condition with NAVI and ML, 88K miles. Dealer's asking price is 15,200. It is Lexus Dealer. After all negotiation he's price is $14K and they will do timing belt job or 13,200 without the job. The car is in Flint Grey in mint condition on pictures. It's about 8 hours drive from me and I'm not sure about the price. How is that price sounds to you ? Any help/opinion ? Thanks.

sounds like a great deal for $14k with a fresh timing belt.if its got good history then go for it.i would do the water pump while they are in there.

Yeah I agree with Jim. Amazing deal IMO. Have them tie in the water pump and anything else that's a part of the 90k maint and i'd go scoop that in a heartbeat.

Just to give you an idea I bought my 04 Sport Design 2 years ago with 100k on the clock for 13k.. 14k for a perfect condition LS with the 90k done is a great price. Hop on it and don't look back, lol.

Thanks for you respond. I'm actually still negotiating for the lower price with the belt job

The only problem I see is that you are 8 hrs away and can't test drive it.

If you ran a VIN check and looked at the Lexus history and it looks good then it might be worth buying sight unseen.

Yes, I ran the VIN and this car has service history at the same dealership, that sells it. I'm not going to buy this car without seeing it. I'm planning to fly there, check everything, buy and drive it back home.

14K is a fair deal, but if you can get the deal to include the 90K service maintenance, that becomes a good deal. The dealer already agreed to do the timing belt for that price and getting him to complete the 90K maintenance isn't going to hurt him that much more unless there are other issues with the car.

$14K with a full 90K service complete is a very good deal. I would buy it if I did not already have a mint LS430.

It's a good price; we should have a club member in the area, check to if there if someone can inspect the car for you or hire someone local to inspect it you before you purchasing that ticket.

The price is GOOD- I would get the dealer to do the Radiator, Tstat, Waterpump and Timing Belt as PM.

I am a landcruiser as well guy and this motor is amazing, but while they have it torn down I would do it all.

I picked up a 05 Sport with 67K for 12K in Denver in October. Black on Black, Nav, 18's

As long as it's in good shape that is a great deal!

Wow..great deal. congrats. The only thing that still stops me from this car is its interior. I'd like to have black, but it's light gray. These light interiors just make any car to look older compared to black. Every wrinkle is visible ...

That's easy. Even if it is a good deal, if it's not what you want, you're not going to be happy with it at any price. Better hold out and be willing to pay a bit more for what you truly want. Then you have no second thoughts as you drive it around.

It's a very fair deal, especially considering it's from a Lexus dealer.

Obviously do your due dilligence, check the accident history, go over it with a fine tooth comb, etc but if everything checks out, it's a better deal than most.

Are radiators problematic in these? I've never heard of someone doing one as preventative maintenance.
