Default Looking to Supplement ML Nav System with Bluetooth and IPOD

Have a 2004 LS430 with the Navigation and ML system. Would like to supplement the ML system with Bluetooth (so I can hear new music) and IPOD integration for what I know I like to hear without losing any of the other functionality already built into the system (handsfree cellular, control from steering wheel, CD channels, SAT channels, etc).
Some users have indicated that the Bluetooth add ons aren't equivalent to CD quality, so I have a concern that even if I go through all the trouble of putting a bluetooth unit in, I won't be satisfied with the quality of sound.

The VAIS units for Bluetooth (SoundLinQ3 (Model SL3B)) and IPOD (MultiMediaLinQ (Model MML)) integration seem to be recommended. I know there is a video unit for another 200 bucks but I don't really want the video option as I'd never use it.

For those of you who have the VAIS units, or for those who have gone a different route, is there a combined solution that offers both these functions in a single add on or is there something other than VAIS I probably need to be checking out?

Vais MML is my preference. Have it in all 3 LS's. Check out my posts in related threads for reasons. The Vais video unit that you mention is not an option for the 01 - 06 LS. (Check Vais brochure.) I am not aware of a combined bluetooth-iPhone audio integration solution.

Others have chosen a Grom unit.

Default Parrot MKi9100

I had this installed on mine until I upgraded to the Alpine ILX-007. The Parrot system is fantastic. It allows stereo bluetooth calling, voice recognition, and there is a wireless remote control to initiate and end calls and control your streaming from your phone. I mounted the display on the front right edge of the instrument cluster, and it blended in really well. It comes with a cable to charge your phone as well, plus an extra USB hookup for another source (thumb drive, etc).

I installed the SL3b Vaistech unit. I am very happy with the sound quality. It was a very easy to install and setup as well. For a blue tooth solution it is very well sorted.

I stream Spotify and in my opinion in a vehicle you are not getting optimal sound anyway with all the ambient noise so I have a hard time picking out shortfalls in the quality. I prefer the ease of jumping in the vehicle and it auto resuming the last track as well as the steering wheel controls to choose track make it the right choice for me.

Kind of confused; what's the key differences between the Vais MML and SL3b?
