Well said! I agree that the 04-06's look a lot nicer but I always try to justify my decision when buying a used car. For me, I think I will try to find an 05 for around 10k and drive it for a few years. When the LS460 comes down in price I will upgrade to the bigger LS. Either way, the LS430 is a lot of bang for the buck and I really cant go wrong with either one. I have owned many Lexus vehicles in the past and I was really surprised at how much nicer the LS drove compared to all of them. It is quiet and has very good power for its size.

The off the shelf KYB generic. I like it quite a bit, from what I've gleaned they have stiffer dampening than the stock unit and they pair really well with the stock springs.

So I have soft-as-stock compression and slightly stiffer rebounding. It works really well for the way I drive - I never race and cruise 99% of the time. When I do open it up, it's just to pass someone and you really only need to do 1 corner fast to put some serious distance between yourself and someone slow.

It lets me transfer the weight to the outside wheels easily and track the surface really well - I definitely gained a few mph in cornering speed. It's not perfect though, the car isn't as smooth as it could be upon corner exit / acceleration but I get enough traction that it doesn't really matter and it's not like the Grand Caravan I just passed is trying to get on my inside and pass me.
