Hi, I just bought my 2001 LS 430 with 132000km. On the way home the mileage meter told me that I had 70km left. Then suddenly I was out of gas in 2 kms. Walked to the gas station and got myself 5 liters and put it in the tank. Then started up no problem, but the engine light came on that was not there before.


When I went for my etest it failed on codes P0430 and P0715.


Anyone know how to correct this? Thanks

Because of how the codes came up I suggest you pull the negative on the battery for 30 seconds. This will reset any codes and if they come back then you know you have some issues to work on.

Hi. Thank you. I did take the negative off the battery for 30 seconds and then put it back on. No change, but will try it again tomorrow and do it for a minute.


Running out of gas should not have this effect should it?

430 is emissions post cat and 715 is the speed sensor. No, you would not think it would... Then again I don't tend to believe in coincidences.
