Just picked up my first LS for a steal!!
I owned a 00 gs400 with 120k for a year that I loved and got totaled.
Then I tried a maxima for a daily driver. It was a stick and just didn't like the feel of the front wheel drive. Sold that and bought another GS.
Picked up a 99 GS300 with 185k off the original owner in incredible shape!
Drove that for 3 years with no intent to sell but I had a customer offer me a trade I couldn't refuse! My GS300 with 235k straight up for his 99 corvette convertible with 106k.
About a month ago that same customer went to buy a LS460 and they only offered him $1k for GS on trade and he offered it to me for $2k so I bought it back with intent to flip for a profit. I sold it to one of my technicians at the shop for $3k and he couldn't be happier. The same day I had another of my long time customers call me and offer me his LS430 that I had always loved. He told me his wife was forcing him to get a newer car for their business and he sadly had to get rid of it. He said the Lexus dealer only offered him $2700 for the car and he told me he really wanted to get $3k. I jumped at the opportunity and bought the car with the $3k from the GS!
2003 LS430 216k, original owner, no damage, no problems, meticulous maintenance history, and a recent major service for $3k!! I've driven it for 2 weeks now and I love it! I feel older that I am, but damn, it's so comfortable!!

$3k for that car? DAY-YUMMMM!
What a great buy...that car is beautiful. Only thing I see that I'd change for myself is replace the gold with a set of silver emblems.

I'm not a huge fan of the gold either, if they start to fade, chrome will be the replacement for sure!!

What a story! And here I was thinking the trade for the Vette was the end of the thriller!
Could we go to Atlantic City together sometime?

Great Scott man! Couple of awesome deals you've made there. That LS looks like it's in great shape. And for $3k?! That is just crazy. That car even with the 216K miles would be like $7-8k here!
