Audio Panel Not Working - 2001 LS 430
I have run into an issue, of course right when I am trying to sell my 2001 LS 430, where the audio panel is not functioning. I am unable to turn the volume up or down (also on the volume control on the steering wheel), power on/off the audio, or use the cd player. The LCD screen is functioning fine and the audio touchscreen options on the LCD is working fine and the sound and radio station is audible, I am just unable to use the volume controls.
I took my car in today to get serviced and they checked the audio fuses and they checked out fine. I am not sure how extensively they diagnosed the issue the audio panel, but he claimed that I probably need a new audio panel, which is about $400 on ebay.
I would also add that my car has been sitting in driveway for the past 2 months, with me riding it a couple times a week. I noticed recently that all of the presets on the audio were reset, which leads me to believe something the battery caused a reset. Not sure on that though.
Has anyone else run into this issue before? Is there anything else I should check?
I appreciate your time in advance.
