Sport model vs non sport
I have owned 2- 2001 and 1-2003 non sport. Just picked up a 2004 sport.I assume the ride is a little rougher and does not handle as well because it has a sport suspension and low profile tires. I do prefer the non sport. I have new tires and just had a algnment done. I always have to steer the car to keep it straight. Not fight it just steer it. My non sports i hardly had to steer it going down the highway. Not complaining just wish i had known. I did take it for a ride before i bought it and thought it was me or the road i was on.

You were running on 17" and/or 16" wheels in the 3 other LSs. That alone makes a big difference in the ride feel. Steering, however, should not be much different, if at all. Your front end suspension parts may be worn and need replacing (lower control arm bushings, lower ball joints, tie rods, sway bar bushings). Going from 16" and 17" wheels to 18" wheels AND sport suspension does reduce the soft ride you felt in the early model year LS430s.
