I sold the CPO LS460 (and kept the LS430)!

LOL, yeah it gets a little extreme.

that whole spindle grill thing is depressing. so fake. The lexus brand is not high performance, racy rah rah. At least it isn't for me....but i guess they aren't dumb, the Lexus corp guys must believe the older guys that want conservative reliability and quality above all else are a declining segment. Remains to be seen whether they are right.

seems like the final few years of the Ls430 really were amazing cars, they had it dialed in perfectly and some dare to say the 2005 Ls430 was more solid than a 400. no doubt the early 460s had a ton of bugs but they seemed to have corrected all of them, ive driven plenty of 07-09 460s, then hopped right into 2010-2012s, and then 2013+ models back to back, and the 2013+ cars do seem to be much more solid but time will tell. the 07-09s had some neat stuff the later ones don't have, like the HDD and the self park, but I guess its a trade off for better more refined build. I will say this though, the old Nak system in the 400 flat out blows the pants off the ML system in the 430 in both sound and reliability.. anyone else agree?

Front end
I may be interested in a newer Lexus again after they restyle the front end. I love the Lexus brand and its superb customer focus and reliability but that new front end styling is not my cup of tea. I think Lexus is going to find that they need to tone down the front end styling over the next couple of years which will be about the right timing for me to get a 2019 LS or GS : )

I also thought the Nakamichi in the LS400 was significantly better than the ML in the 430.

Nakamichi sounds systems in the 90's were genuine high qauity systems built by Nakamichi. The ML stuff is low level consumer grade electronics built by the Harman International.
Harman bought up a bunch of old line Audiophile brand names (the brand names only) about 20 years ago and has been marketing and selling their generic gear using the reputation of those brand names.
Besides the Mark Levinson brand name they also flog their generic gear under these brand names that they also own - JBL, Lexicon, Crown, Infinity, DBX, Martin, AMX, Revel, and Soundcraft. The wonders of modern day marketing...
