Finally a slight complaint. I have an iPhone 6 and it connects fine to the built in bluetooth in my '05 President. However the sound quality through the speakers is awful and people tell me that they cannot hear me clearly when I use it.

Are there any settings I can play with?

Same hear. But mine is 04 with ML. Sound quality is not that good. Don't now if there is a way to improve it. On thing I found to get the best quality is keep windows closed and AC vents pointing away from the mike, it's on the roof withe the light & moon roof switches.

There are additional settings that you can adjust a little by getting into the special onscreen settings menu. To access: Press and hold the "OPTION" button (next to the display screen) down while the car is running in Park. Turn the just Parking light switch (not headlights) "on" and "off" 3 times while holding the OPTION button down. Then, the special Menu appears on the screen. Look for the Bluetooth volume adjustment + or - 1, 2, 3. Trial and error to see what improves the sound.

You should also try moving the treble up all the way on the equalizer for the radio sound system, decreasing the bass, and playing with the mid-range levels too. Bluetooth is heard only on the driver's side door speaker (and possibly the driver's side tweeter).
