Need Help - Stock Radio Antenna Connection!
I recently bought a stock Pioneer radio for my 2002 LS430. The car is a base model, so no navigation. There are 2 conenctors that plug into the back of the stock radio. My question is, where is the plug for my antenna?? The antenna clearly plugs into the back of my aftermarket radio to give me FM reception. See picture of stock radio attached. Thanks.

The LS uses a remote tuner located in the trunk under the floor on the passenger side, the head unit controls it through the AVC-LAN system. The audio signals are sent directly from the tuner to the trunk mounted amplifier, no audio for the radio goes through the head unit.

OK. Thanks. Can you help me understand a couple of things?
Why is there a male antenna plug behind the head unit? There are actually 2. The larger plug goes into my aftermarket radio for tuner reception.
I plug in the factory radio and I have no FM/AM radio. Is my problem in the trunk? I am not following why there are antenna plugs behind the head unit if they are not used with the factory radio. Thanks!

If there was previously an aftermarket radio in the car, someone would have installed an extension for the radio plug to get it to the dashboard. With the extension installed, the antenna would have been disconnected from the remote tuner. You should still get static or some sound even without the antenna hooked up to the tuner, so it's possible that there was a bit of modifying done to install an aftermarket radio, given how the stock system works, so it wouldn't surprise me if some of the trunk mounted modules were disconnected entirely.

thanks for the guidance. the installers of the aftermarket radio in my car definitely ran an extension for the antenna. I got the wiring back right and everything works as expected.
