What's that old line? :"I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6"

I travel between AZ and CA in my car, and I had an incident. Let's just say California can shove their dumb gun laws and I ignore them for my own safety.

AZ has probably the best gun laws, no permit required for concealed carry. Which SHOULD be every state, I don't need a permit for my 1st Amendment rights, why do I need one for our 2nd Amendment rights? But at least a permit is something, many states don't even allow you to carry with a permit.

I drove thru NJ once. I couldn't even pump my own gas. They took my bank card and asked me for my pin. I said thats not going to happen, run it as credit. Okay well I need your zip code then.

That should be amusing to try and get a concealed carry permit in a state that doesn't even let you pump your own gas.

Sucks about your break in. At least there wasn't a lot of pint damage, could have been...

You're in for a HUGE culture shock lol. Life in NJ is completely different than life in GA. Get used to lots of additional restrictions, can't pump your own gas, can't make a left turn (no joke, google "jug handles) lots of additional zoning and use restrictions on land and real estate, etc. My wife is from NJ. I *hate* NJ. I tense up the second I cross the border. Its like another country.

Property taxes? INSANE

Yeah, I know what to expect. I travel all over the US with my job and have lived in ATL of course, SF, CA, San Juan, PR, and have travelled to Eastern and Western Europe, Central and South America, the Caribbean, Bermuda, Aruba, and other places so I don't think it will be much of a shock but not the most enjoyable. At least certain aspects of the local culture. The Princeton area is pretty nice vs other areas. I'm just happy I'm not moving to NYC. Although I don't mind working there I would not like to live in the city.

Edit: Broken key extractor should be here tonight. Hopefully I can get the key out.

I will update.

Bastards! But yeah, at least there wasn't any major paint damage.

My SC300 had an attempted break in, complete with scrapes left down the rear 1/4 panel. UGH!

Yeah Princeton is pretty nice, still not my cup of tea though.

Insofar as taxes, my sister in law bought a house outside of Princeton she paid about $800k for, her tax bill is $26,000 per year. So...if it was paid off it would still cost more than $2k month to own

Wow. That's is insane SW15LS. I don't plan on buying in NJ. If anything it would be just over the PA border.

Bad news. Turns out it was not a key in the lock but the tip of the crackheads screwdriver.

Lock is fubar. My key won't go in but a few millimeters. Ah well, it was worth a try. I guess a new lock is in order after I get settled.

Wow...imagine the force that was necessary to break the tip off that screwdriver...

Damn. At least we know that the lock is strong enough to break a screwdriver.

I know. The lock is pretty strong. I was thinking it odd that a key would be in there in the first place. Most crackheads don't have keys let alone the type that fit into our locks... Lol

This will be my temporary solution until I get the new lock and cap. Not too bad especially from a distance. It is as straight as I could fix the twisted metal. Little bit of glue and touch up paint

Barely noticeable at a glance. That extractor kit is amazing.

Thanks. You don't notice it at all unless you look for it up close. Just hope I don't have any issues with the wireless entry... lol Then I am SOL. I seriously doubt it will be an issue until I can tackle it.

The extractor kit is pretty cool. The tools are really small but work great. $180 to a lock smith or $7 to Amazon. I will always choose Amazon.
