Simple ......PASS!!!!! ........I bought mine w 135k on it......and the shady dealer had done a nice job of making the car look fresh......but after owning it for 8 months I know the ole gal wasnt owned by grampa. I now have fixed about 20 diff little items and have her sitting spotless in my garage.....timing belt and water pump are budget busters...........take my advice......buy a cream puff from Grampa and Granny......that car is roached!

Exactamundo! Better to pay extra for a pampered LS you'll love over time than a smoking below wholesale price on a rough car you will grow to hate because it doesn't live up to expectations.

First I would need some before bodywork pictures and a service history on the ca{Why did the body shop not complete the job), Does it drive perfect at 75mph. I would need to know if a rear seat could be bought to toss the back seat(was he a road kill collector)

Default Run away, run away fast!

Insurance companies are not, by nature, generous. For them to declare that a car isn't worth repairing means it suffered a catastrophic level of damage. I'm sure there are some salvage title cars that are decent, but the vast majority aren't. Most of them are bought very cheap and fixed up for as little money as possible in the hope of a quick profit.

I have a buddy who was in the same situation a few years ago. (different model car, but similar motivation) He was so proud of having bought a low-mileage car for so little. For the past couple of years he has had to repaint various parts that looked great when he bought it but now are peeling, live with a non-functioning airbag system and deal with dozens of other problems, none of which were obvious when he bought the car. I'm truly scared whenever I get in his car. (only 3 times so far, but even that's too much for me)

I was looking at this same exact car my friend. I didn't go and see it personally but i've been keeping an eye on it for sure. I got the VIN from the owner and ran it on Lexus Drivers and there hasn't been much routine maint via the dealer either. It definitely looks a lot rougher in these pictures than it does in the ones on CL.

Seeing these pictures, i'd probably pass. The saddle is nice, yes, but it just looks like it needs a lot more work than it's worth it.
