My 2003 ls 430 had been in side collision about 6 years ago and no airbags deployed. Yesterday when i parked the car i heard a loud pop in the passenger rear seat and a little bit of smoke comming from the seatbelt. Now the airbag light is flashing and the seatbelt is locked in its neutral position and wont retract at all. Has anyone had their seatbelt lock up and were you able to fix it? Do i need a new seatbelt or is their a way to reset it? Thanks

i would take that car to a repair shop asap.could be dangerous to drive it.

Yeah, that's not normal. Never heard of this happening before. Might be related to the accident.

All other seatbelts work fine
