Default 06 OEM 18 Rims

Family just took our LS430 to the dealer and they said we needed 4 new tires. Got the new tires and they told us that our R/F Rim is bent so they put the spare one on for now. The dealer was asking for $600 + labor for the new rim. What is the fair price for an 18' Chrome Rim goes these days?? I haven't been able to find any online and Sewell closed no so couldn't find anywhere else to look.

Thanks

What type of 18" OEM wheel? Can you post a pic? Is it this wheel? http://www.oewheelsllc.com/Wheels_3/...e#.VaL0JvlVhBc

If you want OEM, then you'll pay dealer price. You could go to the parts department at the [st}ealer (bypass the service guys) and ask them to order a wheel for you - ask for a discount off list. Then take the OEM Lexus wheel to your tire store that sold you the wheels. Why are you against a replica wheel on a 9-year old driver (especially if used only for the spare)? You can use the center "L" cap of the original wheel and place it on the replica and no one will ever know it's a replica - except you. And you'll save $400.

Did a quick search on Ebay and came up with this.http://www.ebay.com/itm/18-Lexus-LS-430-Wheel-Replacement-OEM-Spec-Rim-Chrome-Factory-Spec-NEW-74179-/181730039532?hash=item2a4ff456ec
I'm in Northern Cali. and have a really good guy who straightens wheels for less than $150.
This is an option for you, if your rim is repairable.

Is the spare on a matching wheel? I'd just leave the bent wheel in the trunk as the spare.

a better question is why are you going to the dealer for tires? There's tons of competitive tire shops out there, even Costco sells Michelins these days. The Lexus dealer is probably the last place you'd want to go to buy tires.

As for finding a replacement wheel, check out ebay or Craigs List. And as others have mentioned, there's even replica wheels out there, perhaps use the good full size spare and throw a cheap(er) replica in the trunk.

I've had great luck with both Bridgestones and Michelins, but these days I tend to prefer the Michelins.
