Where to buy replacement window glass
I need a new windshield and driver door glass for 2002 LS430. Is there a place to buy them other than dealer? I want to be sure they're genuine Lexus, not after market.

I have had two windshields put in. My oem had heavy pitting when I purchase the car. The second took a large rock on the highway from a truck. Pilkington is what I used. Not oem but 1/10th the cost and has been perfectly fine. PPG also makes good glass. Stay away from Safelite. Don't know about your side window. I would search Yelp for local auto-glass installers with good rating. Don't forget to order the top molding if you want to keep this chrome strip. Going oem is pointless for $1200 or more.

I replaced the windshield in my '06 a few months ago.
My windshield got a star crack when a semi kicked up a rock while I was driving on the interstate. First I took the car to Safelite to repair the crack. I must say that I wasn't terribly impressed with the service -- all they cared about was payment. In any event, the tech said that there was a good chance that the repair would be unsuccessful and that the glass would "crack out," needing a replacement.
It "cracked out" a few weeks later. I opted not to return to Safelite; instead I went to Jack Morris Auto Glass (based on great Yelp reviews). After reading posts on here, I specifically requsted Pilkington glass. The new windshield, installation, etc. came to $220 (which, by the way, was much cheaper than Safelite's quote for their own glass).
Now all is well!

No difference. Rain sensor works great. If anything, it is more quiet now then when I purchased the car. There are some gaps at the top left and front edges of the windshield. Ask the installer to pay special attention and fill these gaps. I paid $190 out the door. Top trim was about $35.

Replaced mine with a Pilkington a couple of years ago and it now looks like it has been sandblasted when viewing into the sun. No comparison to the OEM glass which had 10 years on it before being hit with a rock with long crack.

Try www.lexuspartsnow.com.. They sell oem parts I ordered the acoustic door glass for a 2013 ES 350 and everything looked genuine . Prices however are not like the cheap replacement u get elsewhere so expect to pay 2 times or more for the oem glass .
