Cool Another hello from San Diego

Hi all,

i am not really new to this forum, however i just got a 2004 LS430 last weekend.

i used to have 2006 GS300, and liked it a lot. however, after about 1 year, i sold the GS to buy a tacoma, since its more practical.

ever since i bought the tacoma, i could not stop thinking to get another lexus. it drives so nice and smooth. i mean, no matter how much you put on your tacoma, you cant even compare the driving experience of that 2 cars.

so, i've been looking for LS430 in about 10 months now, and i pretty much get what i want.

i originally wants to get the black with tan interior, no luck finding it, so i settled with black with black interior. after thinking and looking at the car, black interior is really nice.

i think i like it more than the tan interior.

black interior bringing the sporty elegant into the car (which i like since i'm only 30) while the tan bringing luxury in my opinion.

i also wants to get at least the navigation, so i can have backup camera and mark levinson audio. but after thinking about it, base model is cheaper and i already have an high-end audio to install, so i decided to go base model.

the car has 150,000 miles, and what's worse is that the owner has not change the timing belt yet. i just bought all 90K oem parts from the forum and will install it before i will turn on the car.

oh well, i cant wait until these oem parts installed so i can start enjoying my dream car.

thanks
Mik

I doubt that you will find an actual base model. I have never seen one advertised and I think it is likely that they were not imported into the US market. However, the next step up (which has the "premium" package) is quite common.
Visible differences: (Inside) heat AND cool on front seats, (Outside) distance sensors 0n bumpers.

Congrats on your purchase and seems you've thought it through to get exactly what you want.
Good luck on the maintenance items and enjoy the ride once you get it on the road.
