Ultra owners, don't repair your air suspension.
Just had the local frame shop near my house install the Tanabe NF210 springs with the KYB OEM setup off of Rock Auto. I'm so happy. It feels like a normal car, no bounce, corners flat. I will post some pictures in a few months once they settle in, but very happy I took the plunge.
17" OEM wheels, no wheel gap, looks perfect.
I'm currently at 224k miles on an Ultra.
All that needed to be done was to pull 40A fuse under hood. Replaced the air struts and removed actuators. The actuators throw a code in the Techstream software during a Health Check, but it does not make it onto the panel of the car.

Boomer01 - good to hear, I would have loved to continue using the air suspension. My exhaust valve was sticking too, didn't feel like swapping in the compressor from an '05 that I had purchased. The frame shop said to just go steel and be done with it.

I did the same thing to my ls400. It does change the ride a lot. Not necessarily a bad thing. The car performs more like a sports sedan and handles better. It is not as comfortable and the trade off is more road imperfections are transferred to the driver. Not everyone wants to do this. You can also source a used air-shock for pretty cheap. New ones are a grand. I personally really like the way the air suspension rides. If you have problems with swaying replace your front and rear sway bar bushes. Also, the sports rear sway bar is a decent upgrade that does not sacrifice comfort. Anyway, Tanabe and KYB is a good combo. Good products.

yuri.ber - very nice! I'm excited for the stuff to settle since installation. Although I did scrape a few times in downtown Minneapolis last night.
sgretchko - the hardware was just under $900 and the frame shop was $600 for labor, I think they cut me a deal and didn't charge to align it. I had some rear upper control arms installed and both knuckles had frozen caliper bolts so they came to the rescue for everything.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this or not but here goes.
CL ad in San Francisco Bay Area for 4 Air Sus shocks. These are NOT mine (I have a full set of steel ready to go in my UL when the Air goes out).
$350 each or $1200 for all of them.

Just an FYI to maybe help out a fellow Club member.

Did the same NF210s on my 94 and it was great.
The drop is minimal and I had no problems in Ontario snow.
The ride was more confident than stock and after I put Conti DWS on it, it was just as comfortable as my 02.
Those tires are excellent if you're on 18's. Amazing ride quality.
