Front License Plate Bracket
I just purchased a 05 LS430 that does not have the front license plate bracket. I don't want some junky aftermarket bracket. Can I buy an OEM bracket online?

LOL you and I are in the same boat. If you order direct from an OEM supplier- they may still be able to get Briarwood- I'm looking at a tow hook mounted option because of all this silliness. Not sure why they don't just INTEGRATE one into the bumper so the car is designed with one in mind and still looks good in states that don't need it.

That's funny. I just took the front license bracket off my (new to me) millennium silver '05 LS 430 because I thought it was ugly (although now I have two exposed holes in my bumper). Kansas doesn't require a front plate, and I figured it was just a place for dirt and salt to get trapped.

I loved driving around with no rear plate for 3 weeks, through 4 states. I told a trooper friend, my car was legitimately registered in New York State with an in transit permit, but imho a trooper should pull me over just to verify. He said nah, why bother. So here it is 2016, and so easy to commit fraud. The trick I guess is to put a dealer's name where the plate belongs, people assume you just bought it. I took that out. Then, there is a piece of paper taped to the rear glass, that is unreadable. I guess it's a red light cam and speed cam holiday. There was a girl on my BMW forum who said she drove 3 years like that, with a legitimate reggie, but never mounted on the car. Left the temp stuff on.
