Default Check your spare tire - it's low on air.

The LS430 has a nice wheel and full size spare tire in the trunk but most folks (including me) don't check it regularly. I had not checked my spare tire in a couple of years so today I pulled the spare out to check pressure. The pressure was down to 17-18lbs. I put 32lbs pressure back in and reinstalled the spare in the trunk. The whole deal took me 15 minutes or so. Check your spare yearly because if you need to use the spare it won't be very useful if it is near flat.

Good practice to check your spare every now and then.

I check my "spare tire" every morning. Still fully inflated, dang it! ;-)

Good reminders, Jab. Another thing to think about is the age and cracking of the rubber. It also might be a good idea that, when you get new tires, to rotate a worn tire for that spare if it is over a decade old. Even with practically unworn tread, it is not as safe as a newer, but worn, tire would be.

Same thing happen with me. I had not checked mine in 5 years. Needless to say, it was completely flat. I make it a habit to check it more often now.

would be easier to check if I did not have to remove tire to do it. I wish it fit the other way. my days of changing flat tires just might be over.

I think the dealer does this whenever I take it in for service.

i blew a tire out on my LS as i am one of those deviants who lower it too much and intentionally run negative camber. Lucky i was able to drive 40KM's on my spare, it was quite low, would recommend this to all of you guys.

I think the spare on my toyota soarer is filled with foam. Wonder why they stopped doing that.
