Default LFA, the secret is in the badge..

Thought I'd share this interesting encounter.

I've been thinking of adding the "F" emblem on my trunk somewhere or in place of the "sport suspension" emblem for a while now. Not the same one similar to the IS F, but the one that is on the fender of the LFA. Just the letter "F" without any wording or borders.

Upon checking Sewell for the part, I was blown away.
Hold on to your seat, so the F badge on the LFA costs...

I started to wonder, how much horsepower does this badge add?!
Then I thought, it must be the number one factor that gives the LFA that sweet V10 rumble.

Better start saving up for it right now!

Speaking of the LFA, about two weeks ago I was at one of the Zurich dealers to order some pars and they had one for sale:

and the price almost half a million USD

I did ask Santa, but I guess you have to be a very good boy for a couple of lifetimes to get such a present

Sweet! Ill take one with overnight delivery for another $980 thanks.

On another note. Could you post a picture of your car with the 'sports suspension' badge. Mine is not a sports model, but after adding coilovers and sway bars i been thinking of adding them badges.
Thanks.

Sorry but I don't think anyone, anywhere, is STUPID enough to pay $ 3,561 for a badge for the fender of their car.

While every LFA owner could easily afford to buy one, they never, ever would.

I would be willing to bet Lexus has not sold one of these ... ever, and never will !

I understand why they're doing that, but I think the end result will be just making the emblem a target for thieves.

And really, how difficult can it be to knock this off? My guess is you'll see "F" emblems that look identical on Ebay in no time.

I will say I think it's incredibly douchey when people put things like AMG badges on a Mercedes that's not an AMG. What's worse is 99% are fooled by a badge alone.

I dislike the whole M on bmws and S on Audis where they add these badges to non M and non S cars. It shows that folks only care about badges and stickers, not real substance....

My view is that it is "cooler" when the badges on the high performance models are removed altogether.... and then you have to guess.....

Easy to duplicate. Have a machine shop do it. Do a decal. Whatever. However should add the letters "A" "K" "E". Adding Shelby decals and stripes to stock Mustangs is another stupid game. Cannot figure out why people do stuff like this.

ahhhh....so that's what it says up close. I've only seen them on the stock photo on cars.com, and when a dealer has it...but only as a block on the fender, never up close. Wish I had one for real and from the factory, but would never add it to my car....oh btw have you ever seen a badge in the wrong position, likely due to body shop repairs? That's what would happen if stickers are bought on eBay and stuck on. Anybody who actually has a real one knows you put the sticker on wrong!
