As for the removal of the old cup holder here's what you'll have to do.
1- pry off the seat heater, the one that has the traction control and rear shade. (Putting the gear in Neutral will make it a bit easier since it will be out of the way.)
2- pry off the trim that's around the gear. (Silver one.)
3- pry off the whole console piece. (Pry from all four corners so that you don't break the clips.)
4- you'll be able to see the cup holder by now. Remove 1 Phillips screw, and it should just come out in your hands.
5- reverse steps to put back in place.
* it's a pretty easy DIY, just make sure you have plastic prying tools which will help keep your car stay safe from any scratches and make the job 1 million times more easier.
