Default Bad Front Strut.......need information...

I have a 2004 LS430...77k..........leaking front right strut..starting to hear clunking over bumps......................

standard suspension and need part number 48510-50140 (actually cbo9 after but I'm told means nothing)

I'm told they are actually made by KYB........if you give Lexus the above part number they show it as a Lexus part number of 48510-59805.............sooooooooooooooo

I go to Parts Geak.........and they show the strut for the car with the 48510-50140 ....BUT.............IT ALSO SHOWS

KYB Shock Absorber - Front

2004 Lexus LS430
#W0133-1808708
Excel-G - Production: 08/01/2000-, w/o Air Suspension w/o Sport pkg w/ Mark 48510-50120
$109.23

SO I HAVE 2 PART NUMBERS..50140 and 50120..and i'm told they are the same exact strut...............any experience with this?

thanks

I know the LS430 front shocks for 01-06 are physically the same, but just for fun, I went to partsgeek.com...
http://www.partsgeek.com/gbproducts/...-01068253.html
It appears that 48510-50120 is recommended for 01-02 w/o air suspension, w/o sport package; 48510-50140 or 48510-50200 are recommended for 03-06 (no mention of sport package).

KYB is the way to go. I suggest you replace both at the same time so it will ride and brake evenly.

Check RockAuto - $100

KYB Part # 341392 More Info GR-2 / Excel-G One of our most popular parts
Front; Except Adjustable Suspension

Riddle me this.... If you were trying to fix the ride here, wouldn't it be best to get OEM even though it might be more expensive, so you can get a ride like a brand new car ?
