Ya, it was a little tricky. Lookup ls430 stereo removal on Youtube for a tutorial. You'll need those rubberized tools for opening the front stack below the stereo.

For IPOD integration, i have a TOYOPD2 ($95.00 in 2010), purchased from ipod car Pros... It has functioned perfectly, was easy to install, and also emulates the MD player (2004 LS430). All vehicle controls function as if it were originally part of the OEM equipment. Only caveat, if you can call it that, is the music must be arranged in playlists 9not a problem for me, I just make a playlist for each artist)

Does the Vaistech SL3B output any onscreen data to the base audio system (non SatNav)? Also, that unit does not appear to provide hands free calling on my phone - am I missing that feature somewhere.

The Grom videos show that their unit does display audio data on the base audio system AND has hands free calling. However I'm pretty OCD about tech/audio and , judging from the feedback here, I'm not sure I would be happy with the Grom system.

The Grom is supposed to but with me it the audio info never worked right and Grom's response was we're working on an update. I promptly shipped it back.

This iSimple unit looks interesting. Amazon price is only $122 - includes handsfree Bluetooth calling and radio display, even in non ML systems

http://www.pac-audio.com/productDeta...&CategoryID=36

I have a local installer who has both Vais and iSimple products. I think a visit is in order.

Hello,
can´t believe to use 6 folders without subfolders and 99 tracks in each. What kind of system is that? Random? AC/DC... 16 Albums. You put all tracks of 16 Albums into one folder? Serious? :-/ Without subfolders such a system is worthless.

I use a Dension DMP3 Harddisk player since 2002. Still working in a MR2 SW20. It has a satellite dislpay (with cord) to put on the dash if theres not a free pace for the whole player. Now i like to put this system into a Lexus LS430 build in 2005 with Mark Levinson Sound System. The Dension DMP3 has chinch (black and red) output. The maual says second solution is to put a Dension FM modulator betwenn the player and the headunit. It will be fitted to the antenna port of the headunit. Guess 15 years later i wont find a used FM modulator.

My idea is:
Get one of these Vais, Xcarlink, Yatour adaptors and put the chinch-out of the DMP3 to the aux-in of the adaptor (for example Yatour). How would this look like on the OEM display of the LS430? After this the folder navigation can be done with the display of the DMP3.

Thanks for your help.
Hans

I put a Grom TOYNA1 in mine. The 3.5mm cable it comes with is garbage so I bought a better one and mounted an aux port in the center console under the 12volt power port. It is completely concealed and I can just throw a cheap MP3 player in the console; listen for hours. My experience with aftermarket bluetooth audio has been not so great in other cars. The sound quality is not CD quality in my case so I kept it low tech and all simple. The Grom part looks like it cost $5 to make but it works great.

Does anyone choose the USB/Aux-Adapter from Apps2car wiiki-tech.net.?
http://www.apps2car.com/productview/70.html

I tried that one with the 6+6 pin plug:
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2018...749719103.html

And this 6+6 Y-cable splitter:
Amazon Amazon

Cause the port of my radio (86120-50D40) in the 2005 LS is 6+6 pin:

In some descriptions of the Apps2car adapter is mentioned that the LS430 04-06 is not supported. Same at the Yatour. The text says: LS430 2000-2006: 5+7 pin plug often.
Others like this one list the Lexus facelift:
http://www.amazon.com/Auxillary-Yomi.../dp/B016BD7LKG

Problem:
The blue LED of the adapter is on. I can choose discs of the cd-changer by pressing "disc". There is no car specific note in the manual how to install the adapter and how to use it. I tried to press "disc" twice but can´t get access to the SD-card or smartphone plugged to the adapter.

Seller told me i choosed the wrong adapter. Whats your opinion? Does anyone use this adapter in the car?

Thanks a lot.

Default Lexus LS 430 2001 ROOF RACKS

Hi there. New here. Anyone know where I can find roof racks for a 2001 LS430? Which brands make them?

Hope I’m posting in the right section. Apologies if not.

Thanks, Arty

Try Yakima. I believe it took Q towers, 58 inch bars and q75 clips for the old system. Go to their website you might be able to fit their new system.
