Why would you not do as insurance suggested and take it to the dealer?

Swap that wheel/tire to the front and see if that makes a difference?

I agree.....Take it to the dealer. If the first shop did a crappy job, why go back if they are incompetent? If you went through insurance, hopefully they won't give you a hard time. Good luck and let us know how you make out. I hate when we lose our good cars due to accidents that are beyond our control. Hard to replace and sometimes difficult to repair.

Sounds like something is still bent or alignment.

pmesfun, whenever you have a chance, make a photo of all four subframe cushions from different sides. I had the similar issue more than 10 years on Toyota Chaser after an accident - the wheel was pushed a little bit forward and it was touching the fender. Replacing those cushions and properly sitting the subframe fixed the alignment.

Also I had someone else drive the car while I followed and its pretty obvious there too much camber and the wheel is not straight. I could see the driver rear shaking over the humps and dips in the road.

Sounds like you're on the right track. You've met your deductible, so taking to the dealership for a proper suspension diagnosis is the best option. If tire wear can be related to the suspension issues, insurance should cover tire replacement as well, no?
