Don't forge the clay bar if you want that smooth as glass feeling on your paint. Then put the wax on it. It will truly sparkle then...
I put mine in the garage and put the battery tender on it... not driving it enough ...

I told Vince to join but I don't know if he did. There's too much good information here to not join. Hopefully he doesn't join that lame OKC Lexus Facebook page...

Yeah, I think I had that picture for a while but my sister used it for the past two years.

Filled in some coolant (where did 2lt go the last 12k miles? I can honestly find no leaks, and header gasket is fine - coolant inside is just fine and there is no smoking) and picked up yet another parking ticket of the windshield. Gotta love freaking Switzerland...

Next up washing, if the weather holds up during the weekend

Good as time as any to bump this thread. Did most of this over the last couple of days...
  • Replaced the dead motor in my drivers side door lock assembly. Nice to not have to use the key to lock the car anymore.
  • Replaced the foam suspension around my drivers door speaker. Need to look into repairing the woofer next.
  • Drained and refilled the cooling system.
  • Upgraded the Nav mapset from 2004 vintage to the latest available.
  • Flushed out the brake system.
  • Replaced both weak trunk struts.
I've had this car for 2 weeks now and am addressing some needed maintenance issues with it. I'd like to get all of the systems operational and up to snuff before winter...

Got some new oem front lower bushings pressed in... DAY AND NIGHT! Fresh synthetic, new front tires, and alignment. Feels like a brand new car.

side note*** Mods please merge threads I didn't see this one

Yeah replacing those bushings (when worn) makes a big difference!

How do you tell when they are worn? I was looking at mine yesterday while changing the coolant and they look good. Car rides fine as far as I can tell...
