Bird dropping attack! My personal worst...
A little story to share with my fellow members.
While producing an event at a galleria here in Atlanta area yesterday I parked in a good little spot. Close to where I have parked before. My car was 1/2 under a small tree but nothing looked suspicious. It was a pretty big parking lot. Well, I would guess maybe 120 birds crapped on my car. Or maybe 60 birds crapped twice. Either way, it was pretty bad. The worst that has ever happened to me personally.
Cleaning
Remember, bird crap has acid, seeds, and sand in it. You don't want to rub or scrape it. You also want to tackle it right away. The hose by itself is able to get most of the large pieces off. I then used hot water mixed with my car wash liquid. Let it sit for about 10 min and then wash again. This will prevent scratches. Then go back and use your soft sponge to clean any remaining droppings.
There are many ways to remove dropping and a lot of them work. I think the most important thing is to remove it quickly and to not use any harsh detergents combined with rubbing.

This used to happen to me all the time back in the city. We had to cut the tree branches that sit above the driveway. It was good because it stopped the bird crap on the paint regularly but it also heated up the interior of the car on a hot summer day from direct sunlight.

I've learned to be suspicious of overhead phone lines too. I've had that experience. Pretty upsetting.
What kind of clear coat does Lexus use? Is it hard or soft? I'm curious because I'm looking for the right polishing compound. Mercedes uses a very hard clear coat with fulminated silica in it so different polishes have to be used.

Angry birds indeed. Same thing happened to my wife in her car - she was in the store for 20 minutes and came out to find the front half of her car (parked partially under a tree) completely bee-sheet-ed. There was a McDonald's next door so who knows...

Odd story here related to geese...years ago, one of the office buildings I use to work in for my company had a pond etc...Well had lots of geese on property.
Driving into work one day; they were in the road and not moving, couldn't pass through. I honked the horn, got close with the car.
Later that day I come out of the office for lunch, had left sunroof open, I get in and there's geese poop on my center console and shifter. And yes it was geese poop, you could see the tracks on hood of car.
