Are there 2 diagnostic connectors and where is the 2nd?
I am having problems with the rear view camera on a 2005 ls430. When I go into reverse the screen changes from map to blank.
I have removed and opened the camera. I found no signs of broken wires or bad connections in close proximity to the camera. I found no obvious sign of water damage inside the camera itself.
I have an Autel diagnostic computer that includes a toyota/Lexus diagnostic port adapter in addition to the standard obd2.
I was unable to enter the camera diagnostics through the obd2.
If the second diagnostic port exists, where is it?
Any tips on helping me to decide what part to replace?
Thanks,
Jay

Thanks for the tip about the fuses. The bad news is they are all fine. The good new
s is I found the strobe control.
I have spent a good while looking around the engine and failed to find the diagnostic connection. Here are a couple of engine pics. Anyone know where the connector is?

Also...
I ran the diagnostic check thru the nav unit everything came up "OK" Then I select recheck and Camera-C comes up "NG". So it told me there is a problem but not what the problem is.
The sun screen and side view mirrors react properly when I switch into reverse.
I am hoping that when I get the computer connected to the 2nd diagnostic port it will give me more info.
(if there is a second connector)

The autel computer that I am trying to hook up communicates with most auto systems. Most but not all. For example it will not read the convertible top system on an SL500. Every other system I have tried to read is yes but that, no.

I believe you are saying Toyota integrated it's proprietary data system connector into the required OBDII connector and all body systems are now accessed through one combined OBDII/DLC3 connector?
