Steering wheel making noise.

Steering wheel making noise.
I have a 04 LS 430 UL. Love the car BTW. Anyway, the steering wheel is making clanking noise when I move the steering wheel back and forth as you can hear from the link to the Youtube video. It sounds like the noise is coming from right behind the steering cover but can't pin point the exact location. I know the noise is coming somewhere within the steering shaft assembly. I am hoping I don't need to replace the steering shaft assembly. I have searched the forum but can't find any answer. Thanks.
Sorry, don't know how to embed youtube video.

try to lube your steering wheel knuckle which is located on the floor next to the brake pedal.i use high temp bearing grease.
apply it all over the knuckle.look up towards the steering wheel while you are down there and lube the other knuckle too.hope this helps.

I have read on another thread of people using White Lithium Grease to eliminate the noise but their noise is different than mine. I'll give the grease a try. Reference thread:

Update: Greased the steering shaft and noise is less now.
