I think it's held on by heavy duty 3M double sided tape. I replaced my chrome trim with some generic trim I bought at Pep Boys and it used double sided tape.

If you want to make the trip up to Oklahoma City I could do it. It would be cheaper to get the polish and terry cloth at Walmart than to spend money on gas.

I was so picky about it that I almost didn't even buy my car in the first place. It makes a big difference when the chrome is actually shiny.
