is it possible to change the grill if u have a UL?

Yes, you can change it on the UL. I put a black chrome without the emblem on last month.

The chrome grills that are offered on Ebay do not have the Lexus logo in the center. Would I be able to unbolt my Lexus emblem from my existing grill and bolt it to the chrome grill? Are there other fasteners that I need to order from Lexus to complete the emblem swap or I will I just not be able to have the lexus emblem in the center with the ebay offereings?

If you have US-spec car, then it's very easy and you won't need any additional fasteners etc.
Emblem unbolts (1 screw) and bolts on to the new grille.
Don't worry - it's real easy swap.
(for Euro-spec cars there's a slight problem with extra plastic shield, that is added behind the grille. original euro-grille have inbuilt fasteners to hold this shield in place. i solved this problem with extra strong double sided tape).

I had mine custom painted. Ill post some pics later. But I like the look of the OEM grill and with the paint is looks even better. Other thing that sets it off is the fact I have Toyota emblem on it instead of the Lexus L

so the transparent sensor thing in the middle goes where? or does it become obsolete?

You won't need the sensor anymore. From what I read it doesn't seem to mess anything up.
