Default LS 430 Air suspension, level change?

As my very first post, I would like to ask you fellow Lexus owners about the LS 430 air suspension:

When switching from "Normal" to "High", should the car rise and how fast / how much?

Mine does not seem to do anything. So I wonder if the air suspension is defaulted.

Thanks and Cheers,
Mikko

very helpful Lynzoid! i could never figure out if mine was moving the right amount. I'm aware that at highway speeds, it lowers about an inch, but had no idea that the high was supposed to add about 2 inches.

At least there is no "Height Hi" -message on the dashboard.

Does it come up (message) when you press the button to 'High'?

it'll keep say "Height Hi" if it is working probably, or just push it to high and get out and look at the car. It rises slowly though...

You will see it rise as you look at the car. The compressor kicks in too. It rises fast enough

I didn't know it rose up two inches. I never used the High Mode to be honest.

I've never used the high setting either. What I would use is the LOW setting

I wish mine had a low setting. It looked like an F-150 with a lift kit at normal height.

My mechanic adjusted the car height manually (there is some kind of a mechanical adjustment in the rear) and now the level changes as it should be. It takes exactly 41 seconds to raise 2 inches.

All is well in Gotham city. Thank you all.

I have used the Height Hi a couple times. :-) Whenever my grandma rides with me, I use it so it is easier for her to get in and out and then there have been a few instances where I have thrown my own back out and it has helped immensely when exiting and entering the vehicle. :-)

I found that a good way to check how the height adjustment is functioning, is that while parked at idle, is to put your left foot out the door on the ground. You can then feel the adjustment being made as well as seeing it by looking at the door or hood.
