Default [Mystery solved] ASC680 UCF30/31 harness interchangeable?

I am having a hard time finding the ASC680 controller with a UCF30 harness. There is enough UCF31 harness though. Are these 2 interchangeable?

Couldn't find my answer on Google or CL.

Hope someone knows.

Only UCF31's come with air suspension so you will not find any harness for UCF30 models. You are probably thinking,as many people do, that the number 30 & 31 is referring to the vehicle's year, but it actually refers to the model of the car. i.e. Ultra Luxury and non-ultra luxury. Lexus made both UCF30 and 31 from 2001-2006. The harnesses between the years are different and I don't believe they are interchangeable.
UCF31 from 01-03 (before minor change) uses harness H-087D, and
UCF31 from 04-06 (after minor change) uses harness H-087E

Hope this helps

Holy cow! That explains a lot! Thanks!

I always thought that UCF30 is the reference of pre facelift and UCF31 the facelift model... In this case I have an UCF31 from '01.

Mystery solved!

It should be noted that the designation UCF31 was not used for US market cars.
The UL package models are also UCF30.
It would be interesting to check the VIN placard on the driver's door frame to verify what it says.

UCF is more of a production designation. There is NO link with year/pacakge!!!
Decode VIN with toyota EPC is the only method to know what model you have.
There's 'some' links with area where car was to be sold. Most japanese celsiors is UCF31 as far as i know, and most US/EU cars is UCF30.

Check the VIN placard (the one on the driver's door frame, not the one on the dash).
On the next to bottom line (beginning with C/TR, it will give the UCF3x code..
UCF is a combination of the engine code and chassis designation.
For US cars, I have not heard of any labeled UCF31, even if it has air suspension.
For some (but not all) non-US markets, UCF30 is without air suspension, and UCF31 is with it.

What if the vin is labeled as UCF30L?? Is that a long base?? I don't own a UL or the Sport just the modern Lux version.

In UCF 30L , the "L" means left-hand drive.

I don't have much input for non-US countries and thier model designations.
What I posted seems correct for Japanese and some middle-east cars, but apparently yours follows the US coding convention.

Crap, I have the UCF30(E) version. E probably stands for European?

Anyhow, this means I will have to find the UCF30 harness

I am only awre of "L" or "R" codes following UCF30 or UCF31.
If you could give the text on the whole line, I can try to decode it.

Well, the problem is that those harnesses are hard to find...

Gene01, there are two codes: 1 for the variant and 1 for the "execution"

The last one is UCF30L-AEAGKW(1A)

The best information (much of it from Yamae-san - thanks!) is:
U: Engine Code (abbrebiation for UZ)
CF: Chassis Designation
3: LS430
0: without factory air suspension (varies by country - for US, all are UCF30)
L: left-hand drive
A: Model Name (LS430)
E: Body Type (4-door sedan)
A: 5-speed automatic transmission
G: Grade B (I think that all LS430s are grade B, but have very little data, so may be wrong)
K: Engine Type (DOHC with SFI)
W: Destination Country (Europe)
I don't know the exact meaning of the "1A" (variant & execution). Please let us know if you find out the decode.
