Ok, so I'm working on a getting a set of wheels rebarelled and the final specs should be right around 20x9.5 +26 and 20x10.5 +29. I'm lowered right above the tire on Tein CS's and a Youzealand SS kit, with no adjustable camber, traction, or toe arms. I'm not a huge fan of stretch, but am willing to do a little bit, in the interest of fitting the wheels with no rubbing. My front fenders are rolled flat and rear quarters are completely shaved, but with no pull. Given those wheel specs, my suspension set up, and my ride height, what do you guys think is the widest tire I can go with front and rear. Ideally, I'd like to run a 245/35 and 275/30 but I'm not sure if I'll be able to pull that off without camber arms or a pull. Here's a pic for ride height reference:



This pic is with a very conservative set of VS-XX's, 20x9 +36 and 20x10 +44 with 245/30 and 285/25's on. With this current DD set up, there is zero rubbing, however the next set up with be about 16mm more aggressive up front and about 21mm more aggressive in the rear.

Also, anybody have any suggestions on tire brands as well? I ran a set of Hankook EvoV12's on my wife's lowered Subaru Forester and was very happy with them. Good grip, pretty quiet and I got over 20k miles on them and still going. On the opposite spectrum, I also ran Nexen N3000's and for the money, they're also a pretty good tire. Way cheaper obviously than the Hankook's. I do change wheels A LOT, so I'm a little hesitant to spend so much money on the Hankooks again. Any feedback or suggestions, and also where is best places to buy tires online.

Any LS fitment guys know if there will be any rubbing issues with a 245/35 and 275/30 rear? Or would I have to down size to a 255/35 rear?

You will be able to run a 245/35 in the front I think with that height. In the rear, probably a 265/35. I am 10 and 11 with a +25 and +30 in the rear and 235/35 and 255/35 with no rubbing. Stock front fenders and shaved rears.

Thanks for the feedback. (Loving your build so far too). Haha, the funny thing is the wheels I'm rebuilding are step lip RT5's too. I think I'm leaning more towards the 245/35 and 255/35 set up with the Hankook Evo V12's. Too bad Hankook doesn't make a 235/35 or else I'm pretty sure that would fit well. What brand tires are you running?

Thank you, sir. Those wheels will look great in step lip! I am running Nitto 555s. They stretch well. The Hankooks stretch well too. Good luck with your decisions man!

Thanks for the feedback. Anybody have any experience with General Gmax's? I live out in Hawaii, so snow traction is not an issue. Dry traction is a plus, although I don't drive the LS hard, so low road noise and ride comfort are higher on the priority list. We do get a good amount of rain here and there, so wet traction is a plus too. I've also used the older General UHP's before and were pretty happy with them too. Any other feedback for possible other tires or if my tire size choices seem feasible?

I have 285/30 on a 10" wheel in the back with 40mm offset, lip needed full roll to clear. I didn't have it "pulled" but in the process of rolling it it deformed a bit and maybe is "pulled" slightly. I also have the shorter Lexus camber arms though, which makes the wheel more upright (less negative camber). With the stock-length arms I probably wouldn't have to do much rolling at all.

Thanks for input. Do you have any pics that you might be able to post up? My only concern is that my wheels will be about 17mm further out that your set up, so it may be a tight fit. Do you have any more room to space the wheels out, or do they rub at all with your current set up?
