03 LS430UL Widest tires with no "rub"
I'm curious if anyone knows, or has experimented with tire width on these. I would like a wider tire but I really don't want any tire rubbing issues.
My car is lowered on Megan EZ coil overs. Love the ride, but would like to put wider tires on, especially the rear.
Any thoughts on this?

I don't know how much room I have to work with inside the wheel well, and how that translates to tire / wheel size.
I want to end up with a wider than stock tire and wheel, but not at the expense of shaving fenders, tires rubbing, etc...

I had 275/30/20 with 10" wheel 40mm offset and had no rubbing, even with the shorter track arms to give it more positive camber. Went to a 285/30/20 and have lots of rubbing on the fender lip. This could be lessened by reinstalling the standard length track arms, but I think I'd still have a bit of rubbing. I'd say the 285 is the fattest tire that will fit in that wheel well.

I'm running a 285/25 on a 10" rear with no rubbing. My rear wheels specs are 20x10 +44 and my camber is at only around -2.8 or -3. My rears are completely shaved, but no pull. Sorry. I don't really have any good pics that show fitment, but you kind of get the idea.
Here's a pic for height reference:

I think if you don't want to deal with rolling or shaving your fenders at all, you may be limited to higher offset wheels... Perhaps something like a 9.5"-10.5" with offsets above +35. Anything lower, and you will probably need to modify your fenders if you plan on being decently low. But also, as others have mentioned, if you are willing to run some negative camber this may help fit a lower offset wheel or more tire but that just looks weird in my opinion.
Personally, I didn't want to mod my fenders as well but I think I may end up doing that when I am ready to put aftermarket wheels on my car... a local reputable shop (Platinum VIP) quoted $150 to shave all 4 corners so it's not that bad and would make your wheel fitment look a lot better.

Looking to upsize ("upwide"?). Are 275-40-18's OK on the stock 18" rims?
I found a convenient site that lists equivalently-sized tires: https://tiresize.com/tiresizes/245-45R18.htm
When I put in the stock 18" size (245-45-18), quite a few comparable tire sizes show up.
I was particularly interested in the 275-40-18 size - the same diameter, but 1.2" wider (requires at least a 9" wide rim).
The stock tire size looks OK, but I always like to fill out the wheel wells as much as possible (without having to change the stock rims).
Are the stock rims 9" wide? Would the 275-40-18 size clear the front and rear wheel wells?
I can't imagine the ride quality changing much, since the sidewall size is ~ the same.
