Default could i get some thoughts on this car?

hey guys. Found a LS430 i really like on kijiji today. The LS market is extremely slim pickings in alberta, and the winter dosent help it at all right now. Anyways, heres the car. 167,000 KM, not a UL, but extremely clean in and out. As far as the color goes, im not too keen with it right now, but the plan would be to get some super high polish wheels, coilovers, and very dark tint all around. With a few basic mods i think this car would look GREAT. Anyways, on to the pictures. thanks for your time.

Default Ls430

Price is a little too high; in the US it should go for no more than $11K; does it have NAV, ML? if not subtrct about another $1-1500K. Check out Kelly Blue Book retail value.

thanks for the input guys. Ill do that for sure. Imherenow, there is three if you look at the link above the add. No nav, and yes i agree the price is too high. Ill shoot him a offer of what he comes back with and keep you guys in the loop. Ls's are extremely rare here so i might just have to nut up and pay for this one. Never seen one in my city the whole time iv lived here ( believe it or not)

There was nothing called the "Ultra Luxury" package for the 2001 model year in Canada. The top level 2001 LS430 in Canada was similar in that it had air suspension and the rear seat package but it was available without navigation. I can't find the 2001 LS430 brochure for Canada but the attached brochure for the 2002 model year will probably tell you which Canadian spec variation you are looking at.

Are you against finding one in the US? Maybe import taxes or something I'm unaware of?

wow, thanks for the broacher and the comment. Very insightful stuff i had no idea about. Im not really looking to go all the way down to the states. Haven't had much luck in finding a vechial down there that i thought would be worth it.

I would start looking outside of your snow belt. It's too hard on all cars. Can you ship from Texas or California? What is the import duty? All this effort I can't imagine it's worth the expense for a car that has seen those brutal winters. If you don't want to drive there are some reputable car carriers that can ship for you.

iv been thinking about it, but i just cant do it. The winters in alberta arent as bad as people make them out to be in my opinion. Saskatchewan and ontario are the really bad places up here. IMO.

If it's the color and option package you want, and you feel the price is fair, go for it

All of us USA guys are gonna think the price is high, but i hear that Canada has more expensive cars than us
