Temp
MN and Wisc around -15 to -20 F. for lows and didn't get above zero for highs. Not completely rare for us, but still uncommon. Sometimes it gets much colder here. By that I mean the twin cities of MPLS & St. Paul, MN, and across to the Appleton Wisc area where WarminWisc is. MN is the farthest north and the coldest of the States, except Alaska. I don't mean up north there, Just down here in the balmy south.

Had to bundle up yesterday morning when it got down to 44. Of course it was shorts in the afternoon when it hit 68.
We had a couple of cold days last week. Winter may be over.
Open the sun roof.

cold!
The high got above zero today for the first time in a couple of days. It's now back down below and will probably bounce over and under for a couple of days. Green bay area can expect this weather shortly after it leaves here. NY gets it a while after that.

coldest?
I'm confused. I thought that -23C was around -9F. Ottawa is roughly the same lattitude as Minneapolis / St. Paul, Minnesota. Our temps were around -20F at that time. That's about -29C. St. Paul is the capitol of MN. I guess they must have meant countries and not states or provinces. Still Nine degrees below zero does not seem that cold to me. It seems like Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia should have been in the running for that. Maybe it was unseasonably warm in those countries capitols at the time.
